At 9amHealth, we believe that managing chronic conditions like diabetes should be affordable, accessible, and kind. But what does that really mean?
The name 9amHealth is based on the idea that we’ve all had days where we’ve broken our diets or messed up our glucose numbers. Still, with that feeling, it is essential to hold onto the hope that each new day ahead is a new beginning to change your life for the better. No matter what yesterday felt like.
We know that living with a chronic health condition is not easy so we want to make it easier for you to wake up each morning and feel good.
How do we do this? By making it easier for you to access all the care you need—including access to our medical care team, prescriptions, medications, labs, testing supplies, and when you need it.

We are passionate about cardiometaboloc health because we've been there ourselves.
Many of our staff live with diabetes— including two of our founders—or have close family and friends who deal with the daily juggle of chronic health conditions. We know first-hand how challenging it is to make our health a priority when the healthcare system is set up in a way that doesn't always prioritize the patient as an individual.
We are also all too aware that the number of people living with diabetes and prediabetes keeps growing in the U.S. Additionally, most U.S. adults with diabetes have at least one if not two other conditions, most commonly high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Living with diabetes also isn't cheap, and the average person living with diabetes spends approximately $16,750 a year on medical bills. But since almost 10 percent of U.S. adults don't have insurance, and many of those with insurance have such a high deductible, people can't always pay for the care they need.
The failure of healthcare to adequately care for people living with diabetes is not okay with us. We want to remove these big barriers—money, time, accessibility to care —and bring quality diabetes care straight into your home.
As 9amHealth Co-CEO Frank Westermann shared in his interview with Healthline, "Good healthcare doesn't need to be expensive, and I'm determined to prove that."
Our team of founders has dedicated most of their lives to addressing problems with diabetes care, including creating and managing the popular diabetes app, mySugr before it was sold in 2017.
If you've ever felt completely overwhelmed trying to take care of yourself while living with a chronic condition, you aren't alone.
The traditional model for healthcare means the patient carries a heavy burden – making your appointments and taking time off work to see your doctor, picking up and paying for your medications and labs—and it can feel as though you have little say in your care. And if you have questions about your diagnosis, treatment plan, diet, or anything else, there's little support or access to answers.
But the team at 9amHealth believes it shouldn't be this complicated, and something has to change.
"Answers for health questions shouldn't be collected and forgotten between appointments, medications shouldn't be another errand, and prescriptions shouldn't be interrupted because of a busy schedule. We take on more, so our patients can lean back and have their medications, supplies, lab tests, and health team brought to them."
With our services, you aren't scrambling to make it to your doctor's appointment across town. We offer appointments outside of business hours, so you don't have to miss work (after all, diabetes doesn't clock out at 5pm or on weekends), and it costs less than the average co-pay with no insurance needed.
What you'll get is a personalized treatment plan that meets you exactly where you are, including:
Cardiometabolic health is our expertise, people are our passion, and this isn't just lip service.
Our team is filled with healthcare professionals who believe in 9amHealth. Integrity and professionalism are foundational, and our information is always credible and transparent.
But above all, we find joy in connecting and helping you succeed. Our team is encouraging and positive because change happens when you feel empowered. We want our patients to sit in the driver's seat. After all, you are the most important part of the care team, and what you say and feel matters to us.
We know that hearing from others who've actually worked with us can help you feel more confident that we actually walk the walk. You can read more about what our customers say here, but we've been described as "a lifesaver" and an "answer to a prayer." We've helped people without insurance or who couldn't find time to prioritize themselves outside family and work obligations.
