Understanding your Consistency Score for weight loss GLP-1 refills
New to 9amHealth? Welcome! In this article, we’ll explain everything you need to know about refilling your weight loss GLP-1 prescription, including specific refill requirements tied to your Consistency Score.
Key information to know: In your first month with 9amHealth, you’ll be eligible to refill your existing weight loss GLP-1 prescription as soon as you enroll. After that first month, you’ll need to maintain a Consistency Score of 100 in order to refill your prescription.
Here's what to know about your first weight loss GLP-1 refill
As soon as you enroll with 9amHealth, if you were previously on a weight loss GLP-1, you will be eligible for your first refill. During this initial 30-day grace period, you do not need a Consistency Score of 100. Consistency Score requirements will apply to future refills after this first month; you can learn more about these requirements below.
About your Consistency Score
Your Consistency Score is based on your interactions with your health management tools on the 9amHealth app. It reflects how often you log key activities, such as weighing yourself, tracking your blood pressure, or interacting with the app and checking in with your Care Team.
You can find your Consistency Score by opening the 9amHealth app and logging in with your email address and password. Visit your profile to see your Consistency Score, along with your account details.
Maintain your score (on your schedule)
Centered on your goals, your Consistency Score will track your Healthy Weight Journey, offering specific guidance tailored to your needs.
These requirements are designed to help you stay on track without disrupting your daily routine. If you're on a weight loss GLP-1 medication, these requirements will help you remain in good standing for your prescription renewal. After your first month, you’ll need a score of 100 to renew your weight loss GLP-1 prescription.
Here’s an overview of how you can maintain your Consistency Score:
Weight Tracking
Track and log your weight at least 4 times every 30 days. Easily track your weight with the connected SmartMeter scale we’ll send you after you’ve enrolled. Once set up, your weight scale readings will be uploaded automatically to your 9amHealth account. For more information on the weight scale, please watch this video.
Program Interactions
Use the 9amHealth at least 4 times every 30 days. This includes completing open tasks, getting your labs done, messaging with your Care Team, completing educational modules, reviewing curated articles, scanning your meals with Meal Insights, and more.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to do to refill my weight loss GLP-1 prescription (after the first month)?
To stay on track for your weight loss GLP-1 prescription, you'll need a Consistency Score of 100 when it's time to refill. Make sure you’ve met your Consistency Score requirements before you go to the pharmacy. If you did not meet the requirements, your refill request at the pharmacy will be denied.
How is my refill eligibility checked?
Your engagement and weigh-in activity are reviewed automatically. To help prevent delays, your refill eligibility status is shared with Express Scripts on a daily basis. Your individual health information is never shared with your employer.
How can I reach a score of 100?
A score of 100 means you’ve done all the essentials within the last 30 days. Your score is calculated based on your activity over the past 30 days. That means it can go up or down as your engagement changes, so don’t worry if it fluctuates. A high score means you’re regularly engaging with your program. Your score resets every 30 days.
To reach a high score, aim for steady activity in each category:
| Requirement | What you need to do | Points toward your score |
| Start fresh | Enroll and stay active in the program | 20 points (automatic) |
| Weight tracking | Step on your scale at least 4 times in 30 days. |
10 points per value (up to 40 points) |
| Program interactions | Complete 4 app interactions (articles, visits, labs, meal plan, meal insights, profile updates, etc.) or chat with the Care Team | 10 points per interaction (up to 40 points) |
What happens when my score is low when it's time to refill?
If your Consistency Score is below 100 when your refill is due, your weight loss GLP-1 prescription cannot be refilled at that time. A low score means you have not completed the required activities within the last 30 days. Once you complete the required activities and your score returns to 100, you’ll be eligible to refill your medication. Your Care Team is available to help you understand what’s missing and get back on track quickly.
What if my refill is delayed because of prior authorization?
If you receive a message from your pharmacy that your prior authorization has expired, your provider must complete a new prior authorization. They can initiate prior authorization by visiting the www.evicore.com portal, calling Express Scripts at 800-417-1764, or choosing their preferred method of prior authorization. After the prior authorization is completed, you can fill your prescription at the pharmacy. If prior authorization is not completed, you may be responsible for the full cost of your medication.
You can choose to transfer your prescription to 9amHealth at any time, and our team will manage prior authorizations on your behalf to help avoid delays.
What if I am not on a weight loss GLP-1?
If you are not on a weight loss GLP-1, the 100-point Consistency Score requirement for refills does not apply to you. We still encourage you to maintain a high Consistency Score to help you track your progress and reach your health goals.
