As a truck driver, it's difficult to make doctor's appointments. 9amHealth simplified the whole process of getting my medication when my doctor wouldn't fill the prescription unless I came to the office. Great Diabetes Care

When I started the program, I was completely out of medication, and it was very difficult to manage my diabetes. I couldn’t get an appointment with anyone in the area. Who is eligible to join the program?

This program is open to Cigna Healthcare Individual Family Plan (IFP) customers. You must be 18 years or older and have a health plan that qualifies. You also must have prediabetes or diabetes (not gestational diabetes). Other eligibility criteria may apply. The best way to see if you qualify is to complete a brief medical questionnaire and begin your registration.

Does my Cigna Healthcare plan cover the cost of 9amHealth?

Yes, 9amHealth is covered (subject to plan design) for eligible Cigna Healthcare IFP customers. Applicable copays, coinsurance, and deductibles may apply. Click the "Join today" button to check on your eligibility and see if your Cigna Healthcare plan covers your care.

How do I sign up for 9amHealth?

Registration only takes a few minutes. Click "Join today" and answer a few questions to check your eligibility. If you're eligible, our Care Team will create a tailored care plan and contact you with more questions. You can contact the Care Team instantly via the 9amHealth app.

What technology is needed to join and get started?

You can join 9amHealth using any web browser on a computer or mobile device. After joining, most people find the 9amHealth app easiest to use. You can download it on the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app has meal
planning tools, health trackers, and secure messaging with the Care Team. Some features are available on the member portal website, but not all.

Can I continue to see my primary care physician?

Absolutely! You don't need to stop seeing your current primary care physician. We will work with your existing providers. Whenever your 9amHealth team updates your treatment plan, we send summary reports to keep everyone informed. This helps ensure your care remains seamless and coordinated, with all parties working together for your well-being.

What medications do you prescribe?

At 9amHealth, we specialize in comprehensive care for people with diabetes, prediabetes, and related conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and weight management issues. Our Care Team looks at your medical history, lab results, and insurance coverage. They will decide if medication is right for you and which option works best. We offer both branded and generic medications. All are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We can help navigate insurance approvals. GLP-1 prescriptions are only available to members who meet specific clinical criteria. To qualify for prescriptions to GLP-1s prescribed for diabetes treatment, such as Mounjaro, Ozempic, and Trulicity, you must have type 2 diabetes.

How will I receive my medications?

We will send your prescription to your preferred pharmacy or mail-order pharmacy linked to your insurance.

How do labs work?

Based on your medical history, our Care Team may recommend a lab draw. We will help you schedule an appointment with a lab in-network with Cigna Healthcare. Lab results are securely being sent back to 9amHealth, and our Care Team will review them with you.
